West Lincoln has dropped out of its game against Franklin County due to a COVID-19 outbreak on the Bears’ football team. Franklin County will instead host Bay Springs this week.

Franklin County itself is on a hybrid schedule, with students halving up school days to limit attendance through the end of September. Brookhaven High School began a similar schedule due to COVID this week, set to expire Sept. 3, but as of now the Aug. 28 game against Lawrence County is still on.

The Wesson Cobras were missing quite a few players last week in the Lawrence County Jamboree, but as of now this week’s game at Tylertown is still a go.

South Pike, which went to a virtual learning schedule last week, is not scheduled to play until it travels to Harrison Central on Sept. 3.

If your school is making a change to class or sports schedules, let us know and we will post the update here.
