Goin’ to Town Car Show set for first weekend in March

We never really had a winter, but it’s too late for cold weather: the Goin’ to Town Car Show in Brookhaven is how I know it’s springtime.

The annual celebration of classic cars and hotrods will be held in downtown Brookhaven on Saturday and Sunday, March 3 and 4. The show will also feature a safety belt demo by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a jaws of life demo by the Brookhaven Fire Department and several exhibits from tool suppliers and car parts businesses, chief among them Fielder’s Pro Shop.

Want to enter your vehicle in the show? Registration is $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show. Contact the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce for more information at 601.833.1411.

I get what the picture is trying to say about the reliability of Chevrolets, but when you think about what’s depicted here, it’s a total douche move.
