Volunteers needed to help Louisiana flood victims start remodeling

After sitting in several feet of water for a week, a house is going to need a little work done, even beyond ripping up the carpets.

If you want to help the folks of Denham Springs and Walker, La., get started on the remodeling necessary to save a flooded house, there’s a local crew leaving to do just that the morning of Saturday, Aug. 27. They’ll be visiting flood victims to rip out flooded sheetrock and pull down insulation.

Bring your gloves and tools, and meet up with them at the Exxon station at the intersection of Highway 51 and Highway 84 in Brookhaven at 8 a.m. If you need more information, call Jay at 601-748-2847.
