Press release from BRAG:

Brookhaven Regional Arts Guild is delighted to sponsor a showing of the works of two wonderful watercolorist in the Vernon Room of the Lincoln County Public Library in August.

We are very fortunate to be highlighting the works of Janet Smith, a local Brookhaven watercolorist, and her mother Billie f Mathis, a renowned watercolorist now residing in Georgia.

Billie f. Mathis has been painting for 37 years and has studied with many national and international watercolorists in the fine arts field. Many of you are already somewhat familiar with the works of her daughter, Janet. Janet has had some of her works hanging in the BRAG October Art Competition and has donated several pieces to local organizations for fund raising purposes.

Please take the time to stop by the library and enjoy these works and leave a comment for them.  A reception will be held on August 18, 5:00 pm to meet Janet Smith and converse with her about her works.
