Registration for arts guild water color workshop begins July 1
This chick has skill.
Her name is Billie F. Mathis, from North Carolina, and she’s a professional art instructor with an emphasis in design, pattern and color intensity. See that wicked-cool water color being used as the main image for this article? That’s one of her works (you can get it for $750).
She’ll be coming to Brookhaven to work with the Brookhaven Regional Arts Guild later this summer, hosting a three-day water color workshop from Aug. 17 – 19. The class will be held in the community room of the Lincoln County Public Library from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
BRAG describes the workshop as intensive, so come prepared to work, and put on your thick skin (there will be critiques each day). Each attendee will receive personal attention and paint a broad range of subject matter, and should expect to leave the workshop with several works of art.
Registration for the workshop begins Friday, July 1 and last until Aug. 2. The cost is $225 for BRAG members and $275 for non-members. To register, send your check payable to BRAG to Kathy Behan at 1119 Kraner Lane, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
