Bond set at $100,000 for Brookhaven man accused of killing girlfriend
It will take $100,000 to get 28-year-old Jeremy W. Cupstid out of jail before his trial in the death of his live-in girlfriend, Tara Ashley Hudson, 32.
Cupstid was arrested and charged with Hudson’s murder after Brookhaven police responded to a domestic violence call at the couple’s home on Cherry Street around 2 a.m. Monday morning. Cops found Hudson unresponsive, and she was pronounced dead at King’s Daughters Medical Center about an hour later.
Hudson’s 12-year-old son was home when his mother died, though police aren’t saying exactly how her life ended. An autopsy is scheduled for this week.
