Brookhaven schools superintendent out at the end of the school year

Well, that was a short stay.

Brookhaven School District Superintendent Dr. Ben Cox told his school board in last night’s regular meeting that he is resigning from his post, effective June 30, 2016. He will have been on the job two and one-half years when he leaves, having come up from North Pike to take over after the city-wide meltdown over Dr. Lisa Karmacharya before him.

The Daily Leader broke the news in Wednesday’s paper, but there isn’t much information to go on as to why the doctor is leaving a position that is, unfortunately, beginning to develop a little bit of turnover.

I wonder what Terry Brister is doing after his retirement from Lincoln County….

Dr. Ben Cox.
