Brookhaven police looking for shooter
A local man was killed and another wounded late Monday afternoon when a shooter fired into houses in separate shootings on the east side of Brookhaven.
Aquarius Nelson, 26, died at King’s Daughters Medical Center after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, while 39-year-old Christopher Stringer took himself to the hospital with a bullet in his leg. Nelson was in a home on Independence Street, right behind Brookhaven High School, while Stringer was wounded at his residence on North Egypt Circle, just north of Mullins School. Not good places for shots to be fired.
Brookhaven police are looking for 24-year-old Cordarryl Bell, of 510 East Congress Street, for questioning.
