County schools considering cameras on buses after molestation arrest
The recent arrest of a long-time bus driver in the Lincoln County School District has administrators talking about outfitting their bus fleet with cameras, though some say adding that technology may not be a cure-all.
Charles R. Davis, 68, of Brookhaven, was arrested last week on charges of touching a child for lustful purposes. Davis was driving a West Lincoln Attendance Center Bus when the incident is alleged to have taken place.
Information about the suspect and the victim is still thin, but The Daily Leader’s article from yesterday has good information about the arguments for and against video cameras on school buses.
